With one hand in real-estate investment and the other in classic car restoration… Afonso’s eye for beauty on the dance floor also transfers into his professional life.  Surprise, surprise however,  Al started dancing eight years ago to meet girls… and all these years later, he still enjoys watching and playing with all the follows on the floor.  Fortunately for the Vancouver swing scene, his incredible raw talent has been put to better use as the founder and dictator of the Jitterbug Junkies.  His unorthodox team leading surprises most but in the end his patience and politically un-correct rules deliver a spectacular show… as to how he manages it… well, it’s a mystery.
